My name is Justin Madar, and today everyone gets to know me a little better. Usually, people do not call our office just to chat. They usually are looking for a service that we can provide to them. Most of the time I spend trying to get to know everyone else better; today you get to learn a bit about me.
I graduated from Holt High School in 2011, during my time there I played just about every sport you could think of as well as worked on a farm part time. The life lesson I learned while I was there set my path to where I am today. I learned about teamwork, leadership and how every single person has a job to do and the importance of doing it right. If one person takes a short cut or does not do their job, the final result will never reach the ultimate goal.
After I graduated from Holt High School, I decided I wanted to continue to play football as well as further my education. I attended Grand Rapids Community College. I looked for an avenue of saving college costs while obtaining an education and still pursuing my love for football. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, the program was shut down after my freshman year. This led me to Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan.
During my time at Olivet College, I was a three-year captain of the football team, we were back-to-back MIAA champions (2015, 2016) and in my senior year I was named the defensive player of the year. That is not even the part I enjoyed the most. I met the love of my life Ashlynn. We are now engaged and will be getting married in August 2021.
When I am not working or doing house projects for Ashlynn, you will find me out hunting. Waterfowl hunting is my all-time favorite thing to do in my spare time. Two years ago, I decided I wanted to get one of the best hunting partners you can get. Turns out he is the best four-legged friend a man can ask for, Toby. Toby is a Black English Lab full of energy and his drive for hunting is impeccable. I have trained him to be my hunting buddy since the day we brought him home and its one the proudest things I have accomplished in my life.
Since starting at MLL in 2017, my overall goal has been to help better protect individuals and be their advocate and counselor when an insurance problem or question arises. I have spent the last four years attending trainings and classes over different commercial risks and various coverages for personal insurance all to help me assist you with the highest level of confidence, service, and quality.
