Giving back to our community is woven into the fabric of what makes up MLL Insurance! We give back our knowledge to our clients to help them understand their coverages and the insurance industry to help them better understand their insurance program. We give back to each other and we love giving back to our community. This December we took on helping two charities and we are excited to share with everyone!
This year was the first year that our office was a collection site for Toys for Tots through our Home Builders Association (HBA) Lansing group. We collected toys for a couple of weeks that would then be taken to the HBA’s Toys for Tots Dinner and Silent Auction in early December. We filled an entire box that was overflowing with so many toys to help the Toys for Tots Toy Drive. The HBA reported that their final toy count was 11,598 toys which was up from last year when they received over 10,000 toys. This was the HBA’s 10th Anniversary of collecting toys and the event pictures showed a room overflowing with toys, smiles and Christmas joy!
Some of you may not know what the local HBA is and what they do! They have been in the Lansing area since 1944 and they are a nonprofit trade organization that is made up of members from home building and remodeling companies. They represent the interests of home builders, developers, remodelers, light commercial builders, subcontractors, professional service providers and suppliers to the building trade.
