Big I Michigan Legislative Day is a Success for Meiers Lombardini Lemanski Insurance (MLL Insurance)
Yesterday, our state insurance association, Big I Michigan, hosted a local legislative day in downtown Lansing at the Capitol where independent insurance agents, insurance company partners and Big I staff had the opportunity to meet with their local lawmakers to discuss topics near and dear to our industry. The day started with an issue briefing period where attendees were briefed on three key issues they would be discussing and answering any questions they may have and then it was off to meetings!
Will and Lisa had the opportunity to meet with local lawmakers to discuss the importance of the small business owner’s perspective in law making but also the impact some pending legislation has on our business, industry and also on our clients as well. We feel that this type of grassroots approach to lobbying makes a very big impact not only on participants but also on the lawmakers as well. We ended our day having the opportunity to hear from the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) director, Anita Fox discuss the items her department is working on.
We appreciate our state association for setting up meetings and preparing us for such a productive day with lawmakers! This was a fantastic opportunity for Will and Lisa to share their story and the stories of our clients!
