Lani is our current Director of First Impressions here at the East Lansing MLL Insurance office – if you call in, she is likely the first voice you’ll hear! Lani’s duties include fielding YOUR calls to the correct person and making sure your changes are processed correctly. Lately, however, she has an additional mission:
Lani just started up her classes in Business – Insurance and Risk Management at Lansing Community College this past week, and we are so excited! She is interested in the fields of cybersecurity insurance and life insurance. But she was not always on this trajectory…
Lani originally attended Texas A&M University pursuing veterinary medicine, but moved up to Michigan after the conclusion of her freshman year to be closer to family and to develop a career based on passion – which she found here at MLL! During her academic leave before this, she worked in a public elementary school as a preschool paraprofessional. Although Lani loved the kids, she very much appreciates her new work environment; especially its non-stickiness! On her way to her Bachelor’s, Lani is collecting as many insurance qualifications as she can, earning her QPLS designation after her first month.
Lani loves reading, independent research, and especially her two rats, Saoirse and Miette (look out for some holiday photos coming up)! She is thrilled to be a part of the MLL team and receive mentoring from the best in the business!
